Worship, Fellowship & Spiritual Growth
Music and Worship Arts
"The mission of the Music and Worship Arts Ministry is to enhance and facilitate the worship of the Almighty God by involving as many members in the congregation as possible. And in so doing, providing uplifting, quality music, drama, dance and art for New Hope worship services, the surrounding community, other Christian fellowships, and special seasonal worship events." For more information contact our director, Celestine Olive, (626) 794-6107.
Live Spanish Translation – Each Sunday we have live Spanish translation of our entire worship service. When you arrive at church, just pick up a headset from the Audio Console in the back of the Sanctuary. For more information contact our Spanish Translation coordinator, Nickie Vargas, (310) 834-4854.
Tenemos audifonos disponible para traducción simultaneous, atrás en la mesa de audio, en el Santuario.

Each Thursday evening, we offer a Bible Class from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at New Hope in Classroom #3, where we discuss a selected portion of the Bible interactively, and encourage and equip classmates to share in the teaching and leading.
On the first Sunday of each month, we host a Spanish-speaking Bible Study in a New Hope classroom from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Contact Nickie Vargas for details at: (310) 834-4854.

Neighborhood Small Groups

or twice a month to share concerns, to pray and study the Bible together, and to help with community
outreach.
New Hope Fellowship Groups provide a "safe place to be loved", and are a wonderful way to bond together as
brothers and sisters in Christ. If you would like more general information about our small group program,
contact our Small Groups director, Larry Omasta, (626) 797-2717.

Men's Ministry
Once a month after church, our men get together for a stimulating discussion on spiritual topics and men's issues. Once a year we plan a Men's Breakfast, with several of our men giving talks around a theme. Most of our men are involved in various ministries and we especially seek to help out single-parent families. For more information contact our director, Fred Stevens, (626) 294-9133.
Women's Ministry
Our Women's ministry meets monthly, often with a guest speaker, addressing relevant women's issues, such as spirituality, health, marriage, etc. Each Christmas our women lead a gift-drive to donate to foster children and at-risk teens at the Optimist Home and Family Services in Eagle Rock. Our women's ministry also organizes one or two all church socials each year. For more information contact our director, Lorraine Pelley, (626) 836-3199.
Senior's Ministry
On the first Wednesday of each month our senior saints gather in homes for a delicious potluck lunch, followed by a Bible Study discussion, usually led by our pastor. The food is always good, and the spiritual banquet and camaraderie is the best!
Annually, we host a honorary catered luncheon for all our seniors, age 60 and up, with their spouses, on a Sunday after church. Most of our seniors are actively involved in serving with various ministries in our church and the community. For more information, contact Pastor Dennis Pelley, (626) 836-3199.
S.P.I.R.I.T. Ministry
SPIRIT stands for Single Parents – Inspiring Relationships in Truth. New Hope is committed to supporting all parents, and recognizing that there are many challenges unique to single parenting.
This fellowship is designed to build Christian relationships among single-parent families. We seek to edify, support and encourage single parents and their children.
Goal: to share the message of hope that can only be found in a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Mission:
- Intentionally introduce single parents to Jesus Christ and help them to grow to be fully devoted followers
- Help and encourage the single parent and their child(ren) to view themselves as a family
- Help meet the practical needs of single parents and their child(ren)
- Provide biblical instruction for parenting and building relationships
- Provide an opportunity for single parents to connect with other single parents
We gather about every six weeks for a Saturday afternoon of food, fun, fellowship and prayer time together. We openly discuss parenting issues and support each other with prayer. We also plan several family outings or field trips per year. For more information contact SPIRIT director Kimberly Pollard at 626-841-2057 or kimberlypoll@yahoo.com.
Food and Fellowship Ministry
Each Sunday after our worship service, we invite everyone downstairs to our Fellowship Hall for coffee and light refreshments. We also host church potluck lunches, usually once a month. It's a great way to get better acquainted with your church family and to make new friends. For more information contact our Kitchen supervisor, Irma Longoria, (909) 829-8785.
Church Newsletter – The Vine
Each month we publish a local church newsletter, called The Vine, with articles on biblical and spiritual growth, recent events and happenings, notable achievements of some of our members and personal testimonies and faith stories. For more information or to submit your article, contact our editor, Mary Terry, (626) 308-2961 or at mistyt92536@yahoo.com. To see past issues of the Vine click here.
