Outreach Ministries
Union Station and Bad Weather Shelter
On the 3rd Tuesday of every month, New Hope prepares and serves a meal to the homeless at Union Station, 370 S. Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91105. We have been involved in this ministry regularly since 1990.
We also provide a team of volunteers to prepare and feed a meal to the homeless at the Bad Weather Shelter on Friday nights during the winter. We also do intake for the participants and prepare the shelter to house them overnight. The Bad Weather Shelter is at Pasadena Covenant Church, 539 N. Lake Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101. Satellite Church
Each Sunday morning we lead the worship service and provide visitation and prayer ministry to the residents of The Fair Oaks by Regency Park, an Independent and Assisted Living Facility in Pasadena. For more information, contact Ron or Norva Kelly at (626) 357-7057.
Ministry to the Blind
Every other Saturday night, we lead a Bible Study at C.L.I.M.B., the Center for Living Independence for the Multi-Handicapped Blind, in Sierra Madre. For more information, contact directors Larry or Linda Helscher, (818) 249-0089.
Support for Other Churches
Each year we help two other churches with monthly financial donations. We usually select two sister churches in our denomination to help – one in the U.S. and one international. The churches we are currently assisting are in Honolulu , Hawaii and El Salvador.
Reconciliation Ministry
We believe all Christians are called to help reconcile people to God and to one another. To further this cause in the greater Body of Jesus Christ, we give a monthly donation to The Office of Reconciliation Ministries in Glendora, CA, www.atimetoreconcile.org.
