Marriage & Family Ministries
Each year, we host a Christian Marriage Retreat at a nearby hotel, from noon Saturday
through noon Sunday. We invite couples of all faiths and backgrounds to attend. Each year we
hire a married couple as our guest speakers, who have expertise and experience in presenting
marriage retreats and workshops.
We offer classes and private counseling in building and strengthening marriages, parenting, personal
and family finance, anger management and grief recovery. For more information, contact Pastor Glen

Marriage Retreat 2009
This years marriage retreat will be October 10-11, 2009 at the Doubletree Hotel Monrovia. Our guest
speakers for this year will be Dr. James and Louise Furrow.

 Registration Information
Early registration fee is $185 per couple if
postmarked by July 1, 2009.
From July 2 – September 1, 2009, the fee is
$200 per couple. All payments must be
received no later than September 1, 2009.
Payment includes Saturday lodging, Sunday
breakfast buffet and cost of guest speakers
and all materials and equipment rental.
Brief Description of Retreat
In the often frantic pace of family life,
couples can easily find themselves in a
relationship where they are overcommitted
and under-connected. Creating connections
offers couples a time to refresh and renew
the vital areas of their marriage. This retreat
will introduce partners to a deeper
understanding of the relational strengths
and needs that contribute to maintaining a
strong and secure marital bond.
Presentations will help couples find ways of
responding to the common patterns in
marriage that lead to distance and
disappointment. Through this retreat
couples find opportunities to affirm the
strengths of their relationship and the love
they share for each other.
